Digital Hand Knitting Pattern | Shoots Beanie
Shoots is a slightly slouchy, almost-a-cloche which is knit in the round. It is knit from the bottom up, starting with a short introduction to the traveling leaf lace pattern as the inside of the brim. The brim is then completed in stocking stitch then turned up and attached to form a snuggly double layer. The body of the hat is knit in this simple, easy to keep track of, lace pattern. Crown is decreased while maintaining the lace - you will need to know how to work small circumference knitting in the round - either using magic loop or double pointed needles.
Shoots can be worn higher for a slouchy look, or pulled down lower over the head for a cloche-like look. Some suggestions for customisation are given at the end of the pattern.
This pattern includes instructions for 8ply/DK weight yarn and has four sizes.
You will need to know how to work small circumferences in the round and be comfortable with stitches such as YO and p2tog.
